Actually this is almost the first website design that I didnt do in less than 2 hours. And I think that you can see it in the result. At least I hope so. At the beginning I didnt use pixelfonts at all, but when I designed it I realized that pixelfonts fit much better than some normal font, they´re easy to read and wont need much space at all. I have always liked aqua -colour theme, and I use blue and turquoise a lot. "Featured lightboxes" section´s images are random stock images from sxc.hu.
erm - im going to be honest here. this site works nicely with your design theme - but a lot of your stuff looks almost exactly alike. you have a great style, but one style is not a good idea when youre a designer. Maybe try three different approaches of styles to braoden your skope. (I'm still a student, learner designer, so don't take this harshly )
I dont know what you mean by that my designs look a same. If you mean the colour, then you´re propably right, I use a lot of blue. I´m pretty sure that you dont mean logotypes? So, you have to mean websites? I havent shown here more than 5 web site layouts, and I can say that only 2 of them look a like a bit. Sorry that I cant asnwer precisely, I just dont know what "section" you mean. I try to use a different styles, but all my work here is uncommercial, so I try to focus on different styles usually only on commercial works.
I like this design, the smaller font is good I don't feel a good flow between the clear type and the smaller...I like the buttons but I think that maybe scale could be a factor...If you use text links with this design it is gong to look unfinished..Very polished application based design... Perspective on scale..alllllmost..
